About us

Hi, we’re Ryan and Mel — the proud owners of Casserley Cottage.

This little coastal cottage has been part of our family for more than 35 years. It’s where we grew up spending long weekends, where our kids learned to love the beach, and where countless friends and relatives have gathered to relax, unwind, and make memories that last a lifetime.

Casserley Cottage has always been a low-fuss, feel-good kind of place — the sort of home where you instantly switch to holiday mode. Set on the south side of town, it’s only a few hundred metres from the caravan park, Offshore Café, and some of Lancelin’s best walking tracks. Wander down the trail to the back beach for a morning swim, stroll into town for dinner at the local pub, or simply settle in on the verandah and enjoy the sea breeze. You don’t have to go anywhere… and that’s part of the magic.

Recently, we purchased the property from Mel’s parents and gave it a thoughtful update — adding comfort and modern touches while keeping the relaxed charm we’ve always loved. For us, this cottage represents family, history, and the kind of easygoing coastal lifestyle that makes Lancelin so special.

We feel incredibly lucky to continue the legacy and to open Casserley Cottage to other families, couples, and groups looking for their own getaway. When you stay here, you’re staying in a home that’s been filled with warmth for decades — and we hope it becomes part of your story too.

Whether you’re here for beach adventures, fishing, sandboarding the famous dunes, or simply putting your feet up with a drink in hand, we want your stay to be memorable, relaxing, and something you’ll want to come back to year after year.

Backyard

2 bedrooms off the main living area with Queen beds, plus a sleep out room at the back of the house with 2 commercial grade king single Bunks. This provides comfortable sleeping for up to 8 people

Situated on a large block, there is a generous size backyard for activities like backyard cricket, or whatever other games you can think of. There is also a BBQ under a large concrete patio, a firepit for winter, and an outdoor shower - perfect for cleaning off after a swim at the beach
